This introductory REDCap workshop will be held on Thursday 25th of October 2018 at UQ CCR main auditorium at RBWH Herston campus.

Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) is a secure and intuitive web application developed by Vanderbilt University, USA, enabling clinicians and researchers within institutions to design and develop online databases and surveys related to various types of clinical research.

With over 3000 institutions worldwide and both non-profit and government organisations joining the REDCap consortium, this tool is becoming the premier platform for clinical research data capture.

With its existing presence within the UQ system and newly launched availability to certain Queensland Health services plus more to come, the need for organising an “Intro to REDCap Workshop” has become apparent. A highlight of topics to be covered will be:

  • Developing qualitative surveys
  •  Longitudinal studies
  • Audits and RCTs
  • Multisite vs single site Studies
  • Randomisation Modules
  • Exporting REDCap data to statistical programs
  • Data Quality Module
  • Database Dictionary upload vs Online Designer
  • User Rights and User Access Management
