Dr Patrick Harris, Infectious Disease Physician, Medical Microbiologist and NHMRC Emerging Leadership 2 Fellow at UQCCR will chair this Early Diagnostics seminar with a focus on central nervous system infections and rapid diagnostic tests, as well as using cutting-edge genetic technology to rapidly and accurately find and identify harmful bacteria and their resistance to antibiotics directly from a blood sample. This helps doctors diagnose and treat infections more effectively.
