Online Registration is now open for the Population Pharmacokinetic Modelling and Dose Optimisation Workshop organised by our centre and coordinated by Professor Jason Roberts and Dr Claire Roger.
The workshop will run on the 13, 14 and 15 October 2016 at Union College situated on St Lucia Campus at the University of Queensland (UQ), Brisbane, Australia.
The workshop is focused on pharmacokinetic analysis using Pmetrics software and Bayesian forecasting using BestDose software.
Optimisation of antimicrobial use is becoming integral in attempts to combat worldwide emergence of antimicrobial resistance. This course will enable paricipants to develop skills in population PK modelling and dose optimisation of antimicrobials in different clinical situations. These skills will be developed into the freely available Pmetrics and BestDose software.
The workshop format of the course will include presentations from the international speakers Prof Michael Neely (Los Angeles, USA) and Prof Willliam Hope (Liverpool, UK), exercises supervised by well-trained tutors and time allocated to share experience, discuss future projects and enlarge the PK/PD network.
This workshop is supported in part by a grant from MSD.
The number of participants is limited to 30. For further information and to register please contact Dr Claire Roger, c.roger@uq.edu.au
