Prof Jason Roberts and Dr Hafiz Abdul-Aziz last week presented at the very first antimicrobial PK/PD Workshop in Malaysia. The event was held on the 20th September 2018 at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.
The main focus of this workshop was on optimising colistin and beta-lactams dosing in critically ill patients. The workshop was attended by clinicians and pharmacists with a research interest in infectious diseases and PK/PD.
In addition to Prof Jason Roberts and Dr Hafiz Abdul-Aziz, the international speakers included Prof Jian Li from Monash University, Melbourne. Prof Roberts and Dr Hafiz presented on optimisation of beta-lactam dosing via population PK/PD approach.
Potential research collaborations between Malaysian institutions and CRE REDUCE were also discussed during the workshop.
