Welcome to the 4th Annual Brisbane Transplant Infectious Diseases Meeting (BTID) – an interdisciplinary and collaborative meeting focused on transplant and infectious diseases care.

The organising committee warmly welcomes you to this full-day seminar taking place at the RBWH Education Centre at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Herston, Queensland, with optional attendance online. The Brisbane Transplant Infectious Diseases Meeting brings together local clinicians, scientists, and other healthcare professionals working in the field of infectious diseases, immunology, and transplant medicine. The aim of the meeting is to give individuals the opportunity to present on their active research or clinical interests, as well as form successful research and clinical relationships between healthcare speciality groups and basic science researchers. By shining a light on the clinical challenges related to infectious diseases in transplant patients, the Brisbane Infectious Diseases Meeting provides a platform for cutting edge translational research and improved patient care.

This 2026 program will explore a wide range of topics reflecting the latest advances and challenges in the field. Sessions will cover updates on viral infections in transplant recipients, the role of the microbiome in antimicrobial resistance, advances in managing multi-resistant organisms, and innovations in diagnostic testing. Together, these sessions showcase the breadth of research and clinical progress shaping the future of transplant medicine.

About Brisbane Transplant Infectious Diseases meeting

The organising committee are pleased to present the 4th Brisbane Transplant Infectious Diseases meeting on Saturday 14 March 2026. This will be an interdisciplinary and collaborative meeting focused on transplant and infectious diseases care.

Bringing together local clinicians, scientists, and other healthcare professionals in the field of infectious diseases, immunology, and transplant medicine, the meeting will give individuals a forum to present their active research or clinical interests. We hope this also offers healthcare specialty groups and basic science researchers a chance to form successful research and clinical relationships.

By shining a light on the clinical challenges of transplant patients in Queensland related to infectious diseases, we work to provide a platform for cutting-edge translational research and improved patient care.

The full-day seminar series will be held at the RBWH Education Centre.
