Dr Steve Wallis
Dr Steve Wallis is a professional research scientist with over 20 years of experience in bioanalysis for pharmacokinetic clinical trials in the academic and regulated industry sectors. Since joining the Burns, Trauma Critical Care Research Centre (BTCCRC) in 2008 he has managed the laboratory’s transition from supporting local, single-site studies to multi-national, multi-centre studies, including trials for CRE REDUCE.
The BTCCRC bioanalysis laboratory is dedicated to supporting academic clinical trials in intensive care and related fields. As such, it specialises in developing, validating and conducting custom assays that are tailored to the needs of this demanding research. Furthermore, the laboratory assists with sample handling and transport, and is working to introduce novel and enabling microsampling techniques to academic clinical research.
