Antimicrobial Optimisation Seminar Nîmes, France

26 July 2019

Earlier in July, the first CHU Nîmes-CRE REDUCE (UQ) Seminar was held in Nîmes France. Bringing together expert speakers from 7 countries on 3 continents, including experts in basic and clinical microbiology, intensive care, infectious diseases and pharmacy, the meeting aimed to summarise the latest data on important concepts related to optimisation of antimicrobials with a focus on critically ill patients.

Dr Claire Roger, CHU Nîmes

The meeting was highly successful and the contents of the day will be summarised into a review paper to be published in Anaesthesia Critical Care & Pain Medicine.

The meeting also saw the signing of a formal agreement for academic collaboration between CHU Nîmes-Universite de Montpellier and The University of Queensland.

CRE REDUCE is very grateful to all speakers and Chairpersons on the day, as well as Ms Natacha Simon, Ms Audrey Ambert, Prof Claire Roger and Prof Jean-Yves Lefrant for their excellent coordination of the event which was supported by the CRE REDUCE staff from 16,670km away in Brisbane.
