The 3rd Brisbane Transplant Infectious Diseases Day is an exciting one-day programme of updates and reflections on what’s new in Transplant Infectious Diseases. Covering diagnostic and therapeutic challenges (HLH, CAR-T, and infection vigilance systems), novel diagnostics and therapeutics of fungal infections, surgical updates (BKVAN, organ perfusion); and using data and registries to drive research and improve quality.

The Brisbane Transplant Infectious Diseases meeting was a great success!  We welcomed presenters from various disciplines focusing on transplant and infectious diseases care.

The first OPAT / HITH Masterclass focuses on pulmonary infections with case studies on atypical mycobacterial infections and drug-resistant tuberculosis; insights from a patient, their partner, clinician and pharmacist. We then hear from Dr Seok Lim and Dr Kate Davies about the clinical monitoring of respiratory viruses in adults and children with COVID-19.
